Headless Headmistress Bloodgood asked me today why I want to be a student at Monster High. So this is what I told her. Gargoyles have eyes that are sharp and heads that are hard. It can take many years for us to make up our minds about even a little thing. That is why when I made the decision to leave my old school and transfer to Monster High, Mama and papa knew it was not a decision made in the haste of the moment so I have their support. I had, in fact, been watching the school for many years and I liked what I saw. Many of my friends said that because I have a chip on my shoulder I am doing this thing to be contrary. I say

I was late for class today and as I hurried to avoid detention I hurried into Deuce Gorgon and

Ghoulia is mon amie and I am always on the look out for her so she is well protected; but it's not something she has asked me to do and today I think I made the mistake of being ... how shall I say ... over protective? She was going into the catacombs to see the new roller maze course but I told her "Non!" It is too dangerous for you. You may not go. Then she made a noise between a snort and a laugh. I told her that I am
très grave and I would not allow it. But it was next Ghoulia's turn to be grave and she said: Rochelle you are my friend, not my mother. Now you may accompany me or you can get out of my way because in case you had not noticed I am a big ghoul who is completely capable of navigating her way into the catacombs and back again! It is a most difficult thing to feel that what you do best is not wanted, but I do not think she meant it that way. Perhaps a true friend cares more for who you are than what you can do for them?

Today I had an appointment with Monsieur D'eath. I do not know why I think this but I think the students make him nervous and I think that he maybe owns a cat. I do not know why but I do. He checked my file many times, checked my student ID once and twice asked for the spelling of my name. Maybe he was just being thorough or maybe is afraid of a trick being played upon him. As he was looking at the file I looked around the room and I noticed a picture of Scaris and from the angle and view of the other buildings I knew it had to be taken from the rooftop of where I used to live. When I mentioned this to him, he almost came alive. Now the rest of the time our appointment was filled with him asking so many detailed questions about living in Scaris that I assumed he must have lived there or visited many times. When I asked if this was so he went back to being sad once more. "No," he said, "I have only been there in boks and movies." I told him he should go and see it for real. He said it was on his "casket list" of things to do but that his work with the student was so important he did not know how he could spare the time. He reminds me of some gargoyles I know that sit together on the same building. Some face only east and some face only west. They tell each other how beautiful the sunrise and sunset is but they will never turn to see for themselves because what if the sunset is more beautiful than the sunrise or the sunrise is more beautiful than the sunset? They think this will make them unhappy with what they see every day. Maybe this is the same with him or maybe there is just no monster to take care of his cat when he is gone.

Roux and I were chasing the pigeons from our roof today. She is great at the chasing part but not so much at the catching because when she is sneaking up she makes a little screeching noise and the pigeons fly off. It is still fun and the pigeons stay off our roof, at least until we go inside.

I think I did a bad thing today that I am not very proud of maybe. Deuce was playing casketball at the park close by my building. He was playing by himself and I told Roux to bring me the ball. Roux flew down and snatched the ball from the air and flew back up to our roof. I could hear the yelling and running below so I knew she got the ball. Deuce made it to the top of the building and I pretend to scold Roux for being a bad griffin. Deuce was surprised to see me and happy to have his casketball back. He took off his glasses and wiped the sweat from his eyes. Ahh ... such a beautiful green ... we hung out on the roof and talked for what seemed like the hours about many things. He is also
très drôle. I did not know this about him. Then Cleo called him. He put his glasses back on and he had to go. Yes I know, I know. This is a thing that can only end in tears and I do not want that.

I went to the maze today to skate. It is what I like to do when I want to think about nothing else. It is relaxing for me. I did not turn on the obstacles because it is not safe when one skates alone, except I was not alone. I thought I was the only ghoul in the maze and then I heard another skater coming from behind; and coming quickly. I heard, "Passing!" I barely had the time to move over when I was passed by Robecca. I saw the little flame from her rocket boots and she was gone. The race, as they say, it was "on." Robecca is a great skater and fast but I am fast as well. I was catching up when I realize the obstacles were on now.
Sacre bleu! I barely made it past a giant spider that was webbing off a section of the track. I still got some of the thick spider silk tangled in my wing but I did not take the time to stop and untangle. I wondered if Robecca skated with the obstacles on all the time or was it because I was skating too? I saw her ahead and she was stopped. She was looking down and I thought something was wrong with her skate and I said to myself--"Ah ha!" I shall pass her. As I went by I heard her shout,
"Arrêtez!" But it was too late. I was falling and I could not fly because of the spider silk on my wing. It was a deep pit and I could see wter at the bottom. I cannot swim. Then I heard, "Got you!" and I stopped falling and started rising. I could hear the firing of the rockets in Robecca's boots as she pulled me out of the pit. We rested for a bit as she helped me pull the web from my wing. I asked her why she skated with the obstacles on and she say to me, "I thought you turned them on!" Then from somewhere in the maze we both heard a laugh that ended in a purr.

I was how do they say ... "volunteered" ... to help with the middle school carnival today. I was in the booth demonstrating how to build sand castles. So much fun! I built the great cathedral I could see from my roof in Scaris. Monsieur D'eath came by to see it and show me a ticket he bought for Scaris! I am so happy for him. I saw Deuce too ... sigh. Since our adventure in the maze, Robecca and I have been hanging out a lot together. I told her about Deuce and she told me that what I am doing is not safe for my heart. She is right. I do not understand my feelings right now. They are most hasty for a gargoyle. I also saw Robecca do the same stunt for the crowd that she did for me in the maze. Only I did not volunteer to be the fall monster. Hah! It was a good day and I am loving Monster High. I have never been so happy with a "hasty" decision in my unlife. :).

La directora sin cabeza me preguntó hoy por qué quiero ser una estudiante de Monster High. Así que esto es lo que le dije. Las Gárgolas tenemos ojos agudos y somos cabeza dura. Puede tomar muchos años para que tomemos una decision siquiera acerca una pequeña cosa. Por eso, cuando tomé la decisión de dejar mi vieja escuela y transferirme a Monster High. Mamá y papá sabían que no era una decisión tomada en el momento ni con prisa, así que tuve su apoyo. Había, de hecho, habia visto la escuela desde hace muchos años y me gustó lo que vi. Muchos de mis amigos dijeron que debido a soy impulsiva que estoy haciendo esta cosa para haer lo contrario. Yo digo no! Sé que muchos gárgolas sólo han mirado en una dirección en su no-vida entera. Ellos piensan que lo que no se puede ver desde donde se sientan pueda ser importante. Bueno, yo quiero ver todo, asi que ire a Monster High y empezare ahi.

Iba tarde a la clase de hoy, y mientras me apresuraba para evitar la detención choque con Deuce Gorgon y el esta muy bonito (
Il extrêmement beau!).
Él estaba corriendo en la dirección opuesta en el camino y por eso lo derribe. Yo no soy muy grande yo soy ... sólida para mi tamaño. Sus gafas salieron volando y estaba tan sorprendido que se olvidó de que era un gorgon y me miró directamente a los ojos. Por el momento había tristeza en sus ojos y luego se sorprendrio de nuevo y yo le devolvi las gafas de sol. No te volviste piedra?, No!, le respondi. Las Gorgonas y los basiliscos, le dije, no afectan a mi clase. Se cubrió los ojos con las gafas de sol de nuevo y preguntó: "¿En serio?" Me sonrió y dije, "Oui."
"¡Guau - cool", dice, y entonces él se apresuraba de nuevo a clase. Sí, ya sé quien es su novia, pero esos ojos de color verde esmeralda son algo que tal vez me encantaria ver de nuevo, no?.
DATOS CURIOSOS/COURIOUS FACTS:
1-Se ve que Rochelle menciona el "Roller Maze" en su diario y a Robecca en el, entonces ella y Robecca y espero que Venus salgan en el especial del 13 de Junio "Friday Night Frights" que es el especial de "Roller Maze".

Ghoulia es mi amiga (mon amie)
y estoy siempre en la mirada hacia fuera para ella revisando que ella este bien protegida; pero no es algo que me ha pedido hacer, y hoy creo que cometí el error de ser ... ¿cómo diría yo ... sobreprotectiva? Ella iba a entrar en las catacumbas para ver el nuevo "Roller Maze", pero yo le dije "no!"Es demasiado peligroso para ti. Tu no puedes ir. Luego hizo un ruido entre un bufido y una risa. Le dije que yo soy muy grave (très grave)
y yo no lo permitiría. Luego
fue Ghoulia quien decidio ponerse grave y dijo: Rochelle tú eres mi amiga, no mi madre Ahora tu me puedes acompañar o lo puedes salir de mi camino o no has notado que soy ya una zombie grande que es capaz de navegar por su camino en las catacumbas y otra vez de vuelta! Es dificil de aceptar que lo que le haces mejor (proteger a mis amigas) no lo haces bien, pero no creo que ella se referia a eso.
Tal vez un amigo de verdad se preocupa más por lo que eres de lo que puede hacer por ellos?.

Hoy tuve una cita con Monsieur profesor D'eath. No sé por qué pienso esto, pero creo que los estudiantes le ponen nervioso y creo que tal vez tiene un gato. No sé por qué, pero el miró mis archivos estudiantiles muchas veces, el comprobo mi tarjeta de estudiante. Una vez y dos veces me pidió que deletreara mi nombre. Tal vez sólo estaba siendo completo o tal vez tiene miedo de que yo estuviera jugando con el. Mientras el estaba mirando mi archivo estudiantil Miré alrededor de la habitación y me di cuenta de una imagen de Scaris y desde el ángulo y el punto de vista de los otros edificios yo sabía que tenía que la foto debio tomarse desde la azotea de donde yo vivía. Cuando se lo comenté a él, casi volvio a la vida. Ahora bien, el resto del tiempo de mi cita con él se llenó de preguntas detalladas acerca de Scaris que supuse que el debe haber vivido allí o la debe haber visitado muchas veces. Cuando le pregunté si esto era cierto, el volvió a estar triste, una vez más. "No", dijo, "sólo he estado allí en los libros y películas." Le dije que debería ir a ver la ciudad de verdad. Él dijo que estaba en su "lista de urna" de las cosas que hacer, pero que su trabajo con los estudiantes es tan importante que no sabe cómo podía dividir el tiempo. Me recuerda a algunas gárgolas que conozco que se sientan juntos en el mismo edificio. Algunos de ellos lo unico que hacen es mirar al este y las otras miran al oeste solamente.Se dicen unos a otros la belleza del amanecer y el atardecer es, pero nunca se atreven a verlos por sí mismos, porque ¿y si la puesta es que el atardecer es más hermoso que la salida del sol o la salida del sol es más hermoso que la puesta de sol? Creen que esto los hará infelices con lo que ven todos los días. Tal vez esto es lo mismo con él o tal vez simplemente no hay monstruo para cuidar a su gato cuando se hado.

Roux y yo estábamos persiguiendo a las palomas en el techo hoy. Ella es genial en la parte perseguir, pero no tanto en la captura, porque cuando está acechando hace un poco de ruido chirriante y las palomas vuelan. Todavía es divertido y las palomas permanecen fuera de nuestro techo, por lo menos hasta que vayamos adentro de la casa.

Creo que hice algo malo hoy, que yo no estoy muy orgullosa de lo mejor. Deuce estaba jugando casketball en el parque cerca de mi edificio. Él estaba jugando solo y le dije a Roux que me traiga la pelota. Roux voló y le arrebató el balón desde el aire y voló de regreso a nuestro techo. Yo podía oír los gritos y el funcionamiento por debajo del edificio, así que sabía que ella agarro el balón. Deuce se llegó a la cima del edificio y yo pretendo regañar a Roux por ser un mal grifo. Deuce se sorprendió al verme y feliz de tener su pelota otra vez. Él se quitó las gafas y se secó el sudor de los ojos. Ahh ... de un verde tan hermoso ... hemos estado en el techo y habló de lo que parecía ser la hora de muchas cosas. También es muy divertido (très drôle). No sabia esa parte de el. Más tarde, Cleo lo llamó. Se puso las gafas y tenía que ir. Sí, lo sé, lo sé. Esto es algo que sólo puede terminar en lágrimas y no quiero eso.

Fui a el "Roller Maze" hoy a patinar. Es lo que me gusta hacer cuando no quiero pensar en nada más. Es relajante para mí. No encendí los obstáculos, porque no es seguro cuando uno patina sola, excepto que yo no estaba solo. Pensé que era la unica en el Roller Maze y entonces oí a otro patinador que viene de atrás, y en breve. He oído, "que pasa!" Apenas tenía tiempo para moverse cuando vi a Robecca. Vi la pequeña llama de sus botas cohete y ella se había ido. La carrera, como se dice, fue "activado". Robecca es una gran patinadora y rápida, pero yo soy más rápida también. Yo estaba alcanzandola, cuando me doy cuenta de los obstáculos eran ahora. Sacre bleu! Apenas llegó más allá de una araña gigante que solto una tela en la la pista. Todavía tengo algo de la seda de araña espesa enredada en mis alas pero no me tome el tiempo para detenerme y desenredar. Me preguntaba si Robecca patinaba con los obstáculos en todo el tiempo o era porque yo estaba patinando también? La vi por delante y ella se detuvo. Ella estaba mirando hacia abajo y pensé que algo andaba mal con su patín y me dije a mí misma - "¡Ajá" Voy a pasar. A medida que iba por el camino la oí gritar ", Arrêtez!" Pero ya era demasiado tarde. Me estaba cayendo y yo no podía volar debido a la seda de araña en mi ala. Era un hoyo profundo y pude ver agua en la parte inferior. Yo no puedo nadar. Entonces escuché: "Te tengo!" y me agarro Robecca ,comenzamos a subir. Podía oír el disparo de los cohetes en las botas de Robecca mientras ella me sacó de la fosa. Descansamos un poco como ella me ayudó a tirar de la tela de mis alas. Le pregunté por qué ella patinó con los obstáculos en y ella me dice, "pensé que tu los encendiste!" Luego de algún lugar en el "Roller Maze" que tanto oyó una risa que terminó en un ronroneo de gato.

Yo era, ¿cómo se dice ... "voluntaria" ... para ayudar con el carnaval de la escuela mia hoy. Yo estaba en el stand que muestra cómo construir castillos de arena. Muy divertido! Yo construí la gran catedral que podía ver desde mi casa en Scaris. El señor D'eath vino a verlo y me muestro un boleto que compró por Scaris! Estoy muy contenta por él. Vi a Deuce también ... suspiro. Desde nuestra aventura en el "Roller Maze" de Robecca y yo hemos estado saliendo mucho juntas. Le hablé de Deuce y ella me dijo que lo que estoy haciendo no es seguro para mi corazón. Ella tiene razón. No entiendo mis sentimientos en estos momentos. Son más apresurada para una gárgola. También vi de Robecca hacer el mismo truco para la multitud que ella hizo por mí en el "Roller Maze". Sólo que yo no me ofrecí como voluntaria para ser el monstruo de la caída. ¡Ja! Fue un buen día y estoy amando Monster High. Nunca he sido tan feliz con una "apresurada" decisión en mi no-vida. :).
